Menarini is required to maintain certain personal data about individuals for the purposes of satisfying operational and legal obligations. Menarini recognises that the lawful and correct treatment of personal data is very important to successful operations and to maintaining the confidence of those that Menarini does business with.
All departments, including Human Resources, will establish their own systems of data storage which will ensure that data is held with an appropriate degree of security. That data will only be accessed where strictly necessary and only by those with authority to do so. Appropriate efforts will be made to ensure that all stored data is accurate and updated as necessary and that data which is obsolete or no longer required is destroyed with appropriate regard paid to the confidentiality of that information.
Menarini recognises that certain types of data are particularly sensitive. Menarini may for example use information about your racial/ethnic origin for its equal opportunities monitoring and information about your physical/mental health or condition to meet its obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1998.
Menarini will conduct regular audits in relation to the nature and extent of personal data which is being stored and the uses to which such data is being put, with the aim of monitoring compliance with the data protection principles and will exercise sanctions in the event of breach.
